Uganda confirms two more Ebola cases, taking total to seven

KAMPALA — The Ministry of Health today confirmed two additional cases of Ebola virus disease (Bundibugyo strain), bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the ongoing outbreak to seven.

Health teams in Kampala and the border districts have intensified contact tracing, isolation and surveillance. The public is urged to remain calm, observe hand hygiene, avoid contact with sick persons, and report any suspected cases to the nearest health facility or the toll-free line 0800-203-033.

The Ministry continues to work closely with the World Health Organization, Africa CDC and partners to contain the outbreak.
